Every student chooses whether to play.
Summer weeks begin
Late June · Six weeks of play, one theme each. Register for the weeks that fit.
Summer showcase
Mid August · Students who choose to play do so on the last Friday. Families and friends are welcome.
Open house
Early September · Meet the teachers, walk the rooms and hold an instrument.
Fall term begins
Mid September · Weekly lessons start for returning and new students.
Winter recital
Mid December · Students who choose to play do so in the hall.
Closed for the holidays
Late December · The school reopens after the new year.
Spring recital
Late May · The last recital of the school year, with the choir and the band.
Family music night
Early April · An evening when whole families play together, beginners welcome.

Recital etiquette
Being a good audience
Arrive early
Come a few minutes before the start, so the performers can settle and the hall can fill.
Phones away
Silence phones and keep them in a pocket. We ask your written permission before a photo is shared.
Clap at the end
Hold the applause until a piece has finished, then clap warmly, including for a restart.
Come as you are
Concert dress is a clean shirt and trousers or a skirt, nothing fancier.
